ABOUT US

The Paris Foundation is a Christian nonprofit organization based in Elkton, Maryland, dedicated to demonstrating Christ’s unconditional love to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hardship.

Founded in 2012 in memory of Leslie Carl Paris, the organization was born out of Les’s vision to see a coordinated and compassionate response to the conditions contributing to homelessness in the Elkton area. What began as a simple effort in Marina Park, distributing food and basic necessities, has grown into a daily, community-wide outreach serving those most in need.

Today, The Paris Foundation provides an evening meal every night of the week, serving an average of 150–200 meals per night through programs such as The Matthew Project, Good Ground, Faith Works, and L.E.E.A.F. (Law Enforcement Emergency Assistance Fund). Since its founding, the organization has served over 400,000 meals, partnered with more than 46,000 volunteers, and received over 83,000 volunteer hours in support of its mission.

As the need in Cecil County continues to grow, The Paris Foundation is entering a new chapter with the construction of a permanent community center in Hollingsworth Manor. This facility will serve as both headquarters and a resource hub, providing meals, clothing, personal necessities, job training, access to social services, and a place of worship and fellowship. The center represents a long-term commitment to not only meeting immediate needs, but also helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope.

At its core, The Paris Foundation exists to walk alongside those who are struggling—offering nourishment, compassion, and the assurance that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
